it's sad that @writefreely don't have a easy way to deploy to production using docker :(
I'll work on some docker for it, but seems that is hard hehehe
@pixelfed Hi there! As a #blind screen reader user, I would really appreciate it if you'd take the time to #captionyourimages as it would really help with #accessibility
And it's not just people like me who appreciate them either, it's users on low bandwidth or metered connections who don't want to load the full res picture, those with #autism who sometimes find the context helpful, the huge percentage of those with preexisting visual impairments [#VI] which includes many people over 55 ETC.
It doesn't have to be anything incredibly detailed or artfully written, but something is nearly always better than nothing. I believe that their is even an option to automatically #OCR images now which should give you a head start.
Interesting how we now have KDE developers starting to care more about UX and aesthetics :)
This is a good video about how the use of KDE Hamburger Menu is changing how the applications look and how they're "fixing" Gwenview UI.
We are looking for software developers!

Last year we announced #AppCenterForEveryone to move our pay-what-you-want app store to being based on Flatpak and available for use on any modern Linux desktop. We finally got together in person to work on that goal; here’s what we accomplished: https://blog.elementary.io/appcenter-dashboard-sprint/
Overall it kind of feels like Apple's intransigence on allowing access to "native" APIs from web content (no notifications on iOS!) plus Google settling on TWAs (Android app wrapper for PWAs) has caused the community to give up on PWAs for mobile. If you have to build a native app to get into the store anyway, then you might as well add on a bunch of non-standard APIs to access Apple Pay, TouchID, camera, whatever. Ionic advertises that they support PWAs, but I assume the main target is desktop.
I make the web more bloated 🙃
Trying to not get crazy in this world that not cares about privacy and freedom.
