@lightweight @yojimbo NextCloud Talk is not AvtivityPub based. it federates with other nextcloud tough.
The Social app is the only AP part on NextCloud, and is at beta state at most.
That.being said, Talk is highly functional and integrates really well with Files. Never tried with code, but for office like collaboration its really great.

@nat I like "anti-design" because it's provocative, denounces that design is dominated by corporate funded anti ethical pratices.

@dumpsterqueer for a unoptimised system it's pretty OK.
From my experience with writefreely go-fed uses very little memory and that is what I desire the most. A AP server that can run on very low spec devices.

It's been a while since I've last given an update on Resin, but just today, I managed to finish implementing the UI. It definitely has some kinks that still need to be worked out but I don't expect the look to be changing much going forward!

So 2021 webdesign is all about
- HUUUUGE fonts
- the same cookie joke everywhere
- annoying mouse cursor hijacking
- scroll hijacking, again
- text moving around while you scroll
I feel like all the webagencies have those now.

@hhardy01 @redecentralize @tomasino regulation is necessary.

The problem with social media is that it pretends to be both media, and infrastructure. Because "it's media" people are afraid to regulate it, since that would affect all media.

Because "it's infrastructure" it gets to pretend it's "neutral", when it is anything but.

We need regulation to make social media into a standardized environment, which will give us the actual neutral infrastructure. And then treat social media like media.

If you have a github account and you're interested in #foss, #activitypub, and #federation, could you be a dear and go star/fave my fediverse server project, #gotosocial? The link is here: github.com/gotosocial/gotosoci

Normally I don't give a shit about faves and boosts and all that crap, but this project is important to me and I'm looking to set up some kind of Github sponsor thing for it, so stars on the project would be really really appreciated and help visibility!

Boosts welcome. Thank you! ❤️

@ajeremias I think will be need some strong push for XMPP to recover the popularity. Some XEP unification/rebrand/relaunch like OpenGL Core/Vulkan. Many XMPP server and clients don't support a "complete" feature set.

Matrix is THE solution for to many people nowadays.

@ajeremias Do you known there is a XMPP based social network?
